Families are welcome in libraries Bradford’s libraries are great places to bring your family! We have picture books and children’s books which your children can borrow. Many libraries have story times and activities for parents and children. Your library can help you to start or continue your learning. We can help you to find information about what interests you. We offer beginner’s IT courses in our libraries. It is free to join the library. You will need to show something with your name and address on it. When you join you will be given a library card, which you should bring with you every time you come to the library.

Education Bradford run a range of family learning courses across the city. Family learning describes a whole range of activities and programmes where, you the parents, grandparents, carers along with your children are involved in learning. All our courses are designed to improve your skills and increase your confidence which in turn enables you to better support your children. Many parents do gain certificates in literacy and maths and move into further learning or employment. This in turn enables parents to better support children with their learning.
